My Darling Magpie
In Aesop’s fable “The Peacock and the Magpie,” a council of birds elects the majestic peacock to be their king, until the Magpie challenges him by asking what he would do to protect them if Hawk attacked. The birds obviously see the folly in their ways– just because something is beautiful, that doesn’t make it the best choice. Wonder what he’dsay about his new namesake collection though–...
